When searching for a food, enter the generic name of the food, not the brand. For example:
- "Cornflakes" NOT Kellogg’s Cornflakes
- Cola/Soda/Fizzy Drink NOT Coke, 7 UP or Fanta
- "Jam" NOT “Strawberry Jam”
If the item comes up, tap on it, otherwise press search.
The system distinguishes between 'local independent' produce and heavily processed foods from major food companies, but generally all processed foods, heavily processed foods, convenience foods, or takeaways are covered by generic terms. For example:
"Indian takeaway" - with a selection of dish options
"Cake" – local independent bakery or generic
